Shipments
The shipments module is a flexible tool which helps manage your work.
- You can easily prepare documents, print and email them, or handle a full transaction lifecycle - from sending and confirming quotes, handling orders, booking details and shipment processing, up to invoicing and collection.
- Shipments can be simple and handle a single partner, have one leg and no agent involvement; or they can be complex, handle multimodal, multiple legs, pick-ups, deliveries, etc.
With Logitude World, you have the ability to work either on a shipment directly through any of the predefined queries, or use one of the powerful business tools provided. Our wizards and personalized workspace will enhance your efficiency and help leverage your business knowledge.
Logitude World lets you focus on your customers throughout the whole shipment process. Customers are easily updated on shipment details and status changes, while the history of all your correspondence with customers is stored for future use.

- Order details

Users can start entering data to a shipment from the moment they receive an order from the client. The order details (weight, packages, expected profit) can be later compared to the actual details of the shipment.
- Booking details

Logitude provides booking management options for sending booking requests to airlines and shipping companies, tracing booking confirmations, updating and emailing confirmation numbers to customers.
- Consolidations and NVOCC

Logitude provides full support for creating direct shipments, or separate House and Master bills of lading as part of consolidation/groupage shipments.
- Flexible document printout

Documents can be edited before printing and emailed to customers and agents. All sent documents are retained in history. You can use blank A4 paper to print predesigned AWB, CMR, FBL, Manifest, Labels and Cover pages.

Notices and notifications, such as arrival updates and pre-alerts, can be sent to customers, agents and other partners using predesigned email templates.

Quotes
Logitude World permits you to gain full control over all quotes issued to your customers. A quote can be a simple freight rate, or a bundle of documents which contain the agreed costs, the relevant correspondence, and the expected profit.
Quotes can be managed and controlled. An approved quote becomes a shipment using the previously approved rates. Details, entered during quote preparation, can be embedded in the shipment and later compared with the actual details.

- Ad hoc or periodical quotes

An ad hoc quote provides pricing for a one-time, non-repetitive request, whereas a periodical quote is created to accommodate repetitive orders for a given period.
- One-click generation of shipments

A single click from an approved quote generates a shipment containing all relevant details.
- Email templates for quote requests from logistics partners

Most of the correspondence with partners (airlines, truckers, shipping agents and others) is conducted via email, using either predesigned (quote request, pick-up cost check, and the like) or custom templates.
- Sent mail history

All sent email messages are stored with the quote. All the versions of a quote sent to a customer are retained in history.
- Quote status update

Users can quickly update quote statuses via the spotlight box that automatically appears when focusing on a quote.
- Costs and expected profit

Quotes can be built based on cost prices incorporated from vendor quotations and sales prices that can be calculated with a markup expressed as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the cost. The expected profit is presented to the user.
- Query not-approved quotes

A predefined query shows all open pending quotes awaiting customer approval.
- Potential customers

Since only a small percentage of quotes become shipments, you can create a potential customer that will become part of your customers directory only when a quote is approved and turned to a shipment.
- Archiving of correspondence with logistics partners

External documents, usually quotes received from logistics partners, can be scanned or filed into the shipment.
- Follow-Up

The Follow-Up mechanism ensures timely and relevant quote follow-up. It enables users to flag important activities and add them to to-do lists which users can open to see their pending follow-ups for today and tomorow.
Invoicing and Collection
In addition to using the shipments module for the creation of needed documents and the updating of customers and agents on shipment details and status changes, invoices can also be generated.
Invoices can be created for customers, agents, or any other party. For the invoice, you can use any currency, including your own (by converting the currencies used for that shipment).
Invoices can be fully customized to include your logo. The default language is English, but you can change this setting and create invoice templates in your local language.
When the invoice is ready, you can send it by email (optionally with other shipment documents) and start tracking it until payment is collected.

- Multiple invoices

Multiple invoices can be issued per shipment, to customers, agents and other partners.
- Multi-currency

Logitude supports multi-currency invoicing, allowing you to bill customers and handle vendor payments using multiple currencies.

The invoicing workflow includes the possibility of generating draft invoices and approval before the final invoice.

The Logitude Vendor Invoices (future feature) Entry feature will enable you to view your actual costs, help manage payments, and make sure your Profit & Loss calculation is accurate.
The Profit & Loss calculation appears in all on-line statistics for your company, customers, and agents. Employees with the permissions to see such data can benefit from a fast and effortless understanding of the business.

- Estimated and final costs

Estimated costs can be entered in a quote or shipment, and final costs can be entered in a shipment.
- Compare estimated to actual profit

The Profit & Loss feature provides detailed analyses of the profit/loss generated from shipments, comparing estimated to actual profit.

For a consolidated shipment a profit breakdown is presented by shipments in the consolidation.
